Job Overview
Inc42 Media is looking for a creative Video Editor & Motion Graphics Designer who enjoys working in a fast paced environment and loves the challenge of discovering what makes consumers “subscribe”.
As a video editor & motion artist, you will be responsible for ideating, planning and executing motion graphics and videos for Inc42’s editorial & marketing campaigns, courses, events, and much more. Owning the video creation and editing, your position will aid in creating engaging and insightful content at the same time being well-researched and data-first. You will have the flexibility to work on multiple projects and themes.

Primary Responsibilities
Execute a variety of end-to-end (conceptualisation to delivery) video production projects as part of the overall video marketing strategy.
This includes animated short-form social media engagement videos like promos, event aftermovies, reels, subject matter expert sessions like interviews, roundtables, panels, founder’s stories like video podcasts, social media themes and concept explainers.
Produce creative assets including project packaging, themes, motion graphics, layouts and visual standards for video activities across multiple channels. These include web, social media, events, email campaigns, and other activities.
Work closely with the content marketing team and execute video content production and post-production processes.
Collaborate with Brand Marketing Managers and support with, mood board and color palette planning, storyboard & visual style, voice-over, illustration and animation.
Create and maintain records of ongoing projects which includes editing videos and other visual content.
Regularly collaborate with the videos and other necessary teams and follow Inc42’s brand guidelines throughout.
Develop an overall video brand messaging strategy and strengthen brand assets including style and guidelines.
Professional Traits
Qualification - Graduate with any degree
Proven working experience of 4+ years in advanced video editing and animation/motion
Proficiency in specialised editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Photoshop, After Effects and Illustrator knowledge and a good understanding of motion graphics is a must
Should have a strong knowledge of current AI tools, understand how to use them for video editing, and be proficient in utilising these AI tools
Should also have knowledge of 3D as well as character animations for a full-fledged animated video.
Deep understanding of editorial content, promotional video campaigns and branded content
Good grasp of digital video script structure
Ability to unlearn and learn to meet Inc42’s high standards of video editing and designs
Ability to work well in collaboration with cross-functional teams
Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
Must have excellent time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines effectively, both individually and as part of a team
Attention to detail and accuracy are a must
Conversant with social media best practices
