What You’ll Do


  1. Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Management:

    1. Efficiently manage and maintain GCP servers for optimal performance, security, and cost-effectiveness.

    2. Implement and optimise infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or Deployment Manager.

  2. CI/CD Pipeline Setup:

    1. Design, implement, and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, to automate the build, test, and deployment processes.

    2. Collaborate with development teams to streamline the release process and improve deployment frequency.

  3. Logging Mechanism:

    1. Configure centralised logging systems for monitoring and troubleshooting.

    2. Implement logging best practices and ensure compliance with security and auditing requirements.

  4. Reverse Proxy Setup:

    1. Configure and manage reverse proxy servers, such as Nginx, to enhance security and optimise application delivery.

    2. Collaborate with development teams to ensure proper configuration and performance.

  5. Server Maintenance:

    1. Perform regular system updates, patches, and security enhancements.

    2. Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related issues promptly to minimize downtime.

  6. Microservices Architecture:

    1. Work closely with development teams to implement and maintain microservices architecture.

    2. Optimise microservices deployment and orchestration for scalability and efficiency.

  7. Cloudflare Integration:

    1. Integrate and manage Cloudflare services for improved security, performance, and reliability.

    2. Collaborate with the security team to implement and maintain firewall rules, DDoS protection, and other security measures.

  8. Redis Caching:

    1. Implement and manage Redis caching solutions to enhance application performance and reduce database load.

    2. Optimise caching strategies to improve overall system responsiveness.

  9. Programming Languages:

    1. Utilise knowledge of Go and PHP to enhance and troubleshoot applications.

    2. Work with WordPress environments, ensuring optimal performance and security.

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

  • Proven experience of at least 2 years as a DevOps Engineer or similar role.

  • Hands-on experience with GCP services and resources.

  • Proficiency in CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.

  • Strong scripting skills (Bash, Python, or similar).

  • Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).

  • Familiarity with IaC tools (Terraform, Deployment Manager).

  • Knowledge of reverse proxy servers (Nginx, HAProxy) and web server configuration.

  • Experience with logging and monitoring tools (ELK Stack, Prometheus, Grafana).

  • Understanding of microservices architecture.

  • Cloudflare configuration and management experience.

  • Experience with Redis caching.

  • Knowledge of Go and PHP, with expertise in WordPress environments.
