Ideal Candidate – we’re not just looking for copywriters, we’re looking for someone who also has subject matter depth across topics like Startups, Leadership, Entrepreneurship & Innovation, Management & Strategy, Product, Design, Growth, Marketing, Brand, Sales, and Digital Skills.
Be it a newsletter, ad copy, video script or an in-depth guide, you’re an expert who can adapt your writing style and brand voice based on the channel and format.
Engineer and/or MBA with at least 4 years of deep experience
From product or marketing domain in a modern edtech or consumer startup
Has experience working in 0-1 startups
Lives and breathes content (literally!)

What You'll Do
Copywriting & Performance Measurement
In-Depth Content Creation – Transform briefs into compelling, original content that resonates across digital platforms, starting from a blank canvas and creating magic.
Engaging Copy – Write engaging email copy, product announcements, blog posts, newsletters, ad copy, social media posts, and press releases that capture attention and drive action.
Performance Analysis – Dive into performance metrics like email open rates, click rates, and bounce rates to refine and innovate content strategies that deliver results.
Copy Optimisation – Develop creative copy variations, A/B test them rigorously and optimise based on data-driven insights.
Video Storytelling – Write scripts and storyboard concepts for both programmatic and shoot-led videos to build powerful visual narratives.
Dashboard Management – Set up and manage interactive dashboards, presenting weekly and monthly performance updates to stakeholders, showcasing the impact of your content across various channels.
Research & L&D
Market Analysis – Identify market gaps and content needs for Inc42 Courses, staying ahead of trends and ensuring we’re always at the forefront of industry standards.
User Research & Insights – Conduct in-depth user interviews to tap into what truly resonates with our audience, creating content that clicks.
Develop L&D Content – Create guides, playbooks, and reading material for our fellows to sharpen their thinking and skills.
Reporting & Collaboration
Sales Collaboration – Collaborate with sales team to identify new opportunities for marketing content
Program Insights – Collaborate with the program management team to gain deep insights into the curriculum, market, and audience, ensuring our learning content is always on point.
Creative Campaigns – Partner with the creative and social media teams to execute bold, imaginative campaigns that push the boundaries of what’s possible.
What We Are Looking For
Education in engineering and/or MBA.
Deep experience in product or marketing background is a must.
Minimum 4 years of professional copywriting experience with a solid portfolio of work
Ability to think creatively and translate ideas into effective copy
Experience with various social networks and platforms
Must have an understanding of customer segments
Should be good at A/B testing and experimenting with copy
Ability to write short, thematic, subtle & quirky content
Impeccable grammar and proofreading skills are a must
Ability to work independently, as well as with a team to meet deadlines
