Responsibilities
The incumbent is responsible for conceptualising and developing high-quality company profiles, industry articles, and other forms of content for BrandLabs campaigns by conducting thorough primary and secondary research and crafting easily understandable narratives.
They should have a deep understanding of the Indian Startup ecosystem and assist BrandLabs clients in tailoring content strategies and crafting compelling narratives that align with their goals.
Inc42 collaborates with brands to convey their stories through written articles, videos, and events, and the person in this role will ensure that the content meets Inc42's editorial standards in terms of writing style, depth, and research.
Responsibilities include contributing to idea generation, story development, video scripting, and interviews for brands.
Understanding the concept of native content is crucial; it should neither be a press release nor an advertorial but should maintain a neutral tone while effectively conveying the client's message through storytelling.
The incumbent will conduct quality checks for all content related to BrandLabs and coordinate feedback cycles with clients.
Draft marketing content for stories to promote client deliverables.
Coordination between BrandLabs, Editorial, and Design Teams for cross-functional projects is required.
Assisting with operations to ensure smooth team functioning is part of the role, along with collaboration with other members of the DataLabs, Editorial, and Design Teams.
The role calls for creativity, generating innovative ideas, energy, dynamism, and a positive attitude. The person should excel in writing and editing, be highly organized and detail-oriented, and possess strong time management and collaboration skills.
Professional Traits:
Bachelors or Masters degree in Journalism or Mass Communication
Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
Individuals with 4-7 years of experience in content writing — ideation, scripting, packaging, and more
Experience in conducting video interviews, or having confidence in front of a camera and an 'on air' presence
Well-versed with Google Docs, Google Sheets, WordPress, and SEO
Should be startup-savvy
Should possess excellent time management skills with an ability to seamlessly work within deadline - individually and within teams
Ability to supervise and train junior employees
Ability to organise, prioritise and schedule work assignments efficiently
Strong research and analytical skills.
Ability to distill complex information into clear and concise language.
